Within a week’s time, Indian judiciary lost two chances of surprising the world by going exactly as speculated. In Salman Khan’s ‘hit and run’ case, The Mumbai High Court suspended the 5 years imprisonment verdict of the Mumbai Sessions Court in which the trail ran for 13 years long. Such long trail was nullified and a fresh appeal is going to ve taken up by the High Court.

Coming to the latest one, AIADMK supremo Jayalalitha is acquitted of all the charges made against her regarding ‘disproportionate assets’ case. On Monday Karnataka High Court gave the ruling acquitting ‘Amma’. Earlier, a special court had convicted Jayalalitha and pronounced 4 years jail and Rs.100 crores penalty.
While the two cases have given celebration time for the fans of the respective celebrities aka Salman Khan and Jayalalitha, the common man is left thinking. Politicians and cine-stars have money and popularity and henceforth can hire the best lawyers in the country who can efficiently bank on the loopholes in the laws of our country. Is this the reality regarding our judiciary!?
