Educator and civil servant Vikas Divyakirti, known for his role in “12th Fail,” recently shared his views on the controversy surrounding “Animal,” directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
In an interview, he criticized the film, stating it shouldn’t have been made. Divyakirti described “Animal” as a disrespectful film, expressing concern about its negative impact on society.

He questioned the lack of social value in the movie, suggesting that filmmaking should prioritize more than just financial gain.
Divyakirti also expressed dismay over a particular scene where the protagonist asks his love interest to prove her affection by licking his shoe. He worried about the influence such scenes could have on immature individuals with feudal mindsets, highlighting the irresponsibility of such portrayals.

Divyakirti’s criticism adds to a growing list of Bollywood and Tamil celebrities. It seems the controversy surrounding “Animal” won’t die down anytime soon.

However, Vanga seems to have exhausted replying to those who bashed his film and thankfully is spending his energies on his upcoming film Spirit.
