Tamannaah Bhatia has shared her perspective on how women in their 30s are finally being portrayed with more depth and confidence in cinema. She believes the industry now values age and experience instead of reducing it to a limitation.
In a conversation with Filmfare, Tamannaah revealed that she once had a 10-year plan — to retire by her thirties and shift focus to her personal life. But when she reached that stage, she realised she was more ambitious and creatively alive than ever.
She credits this shift to a larger change within the film industry, where mature women are no longer boxed into stereotypes. Instead, they are being given roles with complexity, power, and emotional depth — something she’s proud to represent.
Tamannaah also questioned the stigma around ageing, calling it natural and beautiful. She said women should not be judged for growing older but celebrated for their strength and individuality that come with time.
Professionally, Tamannaah is busier than ever. She will next be seen alongside Shahid Kapoor in Vishal Bhardwaj’s action thriller O’ Romeo, expected to release in late 2025 or early 2026.
She also stars with Sidharth Malhotra in Vvan – Force of the Forest, a mythological folk thriller produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF. The film marks her return to a strong, unconventional character space.
Additionally, she is part of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe, where she plays the wife of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria. Tamannaah is also expected to appear in Anees Bazmee’s No Entry 2 with Varun Dhawan, making her one of the busiest actresses of her generation.
