Kingdom Voiceover Review: NTR, Ranbir or Suriya?

Kingdom Best Voiceover NTR Ranbir Kapoor Suriya

Vijay Deverakonda has been waiting for a solid success for a long time, and fans believe that his collaboration with Gautham Tinnanuri would be the turning point.

Produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, the film has now been officially named Kingdom. Along with the title announcement, the teaser was also released.

The Kingdom teaser runs for 1 minute and 55 seconds, beginning with NTR’s voiceover: “Alasata leni bheekara yuddham… alaluga paare eerula raktham… valasapoyinaa, alisipoyinaa, agiponidi ee maha ranam!” The visuals are intense, showcasing bloodshed and helpless civilians.

Vijay Deverakonda’s character is clearly the leader who rises for the people, with his dialogue—”Aemaina chesta saar, avasaramaite motham tagalabettesta saar!”—standing out.

Anirudh’s background score starts well but shifts into a Devara-like mode by the end. Nonetheless, it is impressive.

In Hindi, Ranbir Kapoor lent his voice, while Suriya did the Tamil version. Comparing the three, many fans felt Ranbir’s was the best, though nothing exceptional.

NTR’s version was criticized for overdoing the base-heavy tone, making it feel more like his usual style rather than something specially designed for Kingdom. Some felt his voiceover still had Devara hangover.

Many even questioned if Gautham Tinnanuri was present during the dubbing, as it felt like a generic NTR voiceover without any direction.

Suriya’s Tamil version was also underwhelming, with fans complaining about weak dialogues and an echo-heavy recording that seemed rushed.

Even Ranbir’s version wasn’t extraordinary, as his voice lacked an X factor, though his delivery was decent.

Surprisingly, many felt Vijay Deverakonda’s original voice at the teaser’s end worked better than all three. While roping in stars for the voiceover might help with marketing and creating hype, it didn’t necessarily enhance the impact.
