TDP supporters are happy about this arrest but are not celebrating as much as they should.

Vamsi was the one who started the character assassination of Nara Bhuvaneshwari. He used to abuse Chandrababu and Lokesh, harassed party cadres in Gannavaram, and even attacked the party office. So, TDP supporters are waiting to see him arrested.

However, the government has been lenient in these cases.

In some cases, the arrests were not made and in some cases, the notices were also not given. In a few instances, station bail was also granted.

So, they fear Vamsi may get away.

But then, Legal Experts say that it may not be possible.

Along with the case of the attack on the Gannavaram TDP office, a case has been registered under SC, ST Atrocities Act for blackmailing Satyavardhan, an Operator in the TDP office to withdraw the complaint.

The offenses under the Prevention of Atrocities Act are cognizable and non-bailable. This implies police have the power to arrest the offender without any warrant if any offense is committed against the SC/ST under this Act. Further, no bail can be granted to the offender if arrested under the Act.

Media Channels are reporting that the Police have got the CCTV footage of Vamsi talking to Satyavardhan implying that he was threatened. So, this evidence may be enough to build a strong case.

If Vamsi did not threaten Satyavardhan, this would have been an easy case and the bail should have been easy as well.
