KTR finally spoke on the Kavitha issue, saying there is no need to discuss her further after the party’s action. He made it clear that BRS is supreme and anyone speaking against the party will face consequences without exception.
KTR stated that disciplinary action against Kavitha has already been taken and KCR’s decision must be respected. However, Kavitha had recently levelled serious allegations against Harish Rao and Santosh Rao in her press conferences, questioning corruption in the Kaleshwaram Project and accusing them of plotting against KCR and KTR.
If KCR and KTR trust Harish Rao, that is acceptable. But by choosing not to address allegations of party-grabbing or corruption, they risk damaging their credibility. They cannot ignore charges that directly affect the party’s integrity, since these issues are not private matters.
KCR and KTR must clarify that Harish Rao and Santosh Rao did not engage in corruption during their tenure. Refusing to respond is wrong because the allegations are not coming from rivals but from within KCR’s own family, specifically from Kavitha who was part of the government.
With the CBI likely to begin investigating corruption in the Kaleshwaram Project soon, Kavitha may be summoned as a witness to explain her claims against Harish Rao and Santosh Rao. This makes it clear that BRS cannot avoid the issue raised by Kavitha.
