Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh caught attention on Thursday with a witty tweet. He said that not only Andhra food is spicy, but its investments are spicy too. His post highlighted the steady flow of investments into Vizag and across Andhra Pradesh.
Lokesh said the government is working hard to attract investors. “People say Andhra food is spicy, but so are our investments,” he wrote, adding that neighbouring states are already “feeling the burn.” The humour struck a chord online, making the tweet go viral.
His post came soon after the AP government’s landmark agreement with Google to set up a 1GW data center, the first of its kind in India. The deal marks a major milestone in Andhra Pradesh’s technology and investment landscape.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu also shared his excitement about the collaboration. He posted a design of Vizag shaped like the Google logo, symbolising the state’s digital and economic rise.
Lokesh’s tweet read: “They say Andhra food is spicy. Seems some of our investments are too. Some neighbours are already feeling the burn.” He ended the post with a red chilli, a fire emoji, and the hashtags #AndhraRising and #YoungestStateHighestInvestment.
