Pawan Kalyan’s Strict Warning to Rural Tax Evaders and Corporate Defaulters!

Pawan Kalyan reviews rural tax collection

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has launched an uncompromising, aggressive crackdown on systemic revenue leakages and tax evasion within the state’s rural local bodies.

During a high-level review meeting with top Panchayat Raj and Rural Development (PR & RD) officials, the Janasena chief pulled no punches regarding the financial indiscipline plaguing village administrations.

Pawan Kalyan firmly reminded officials that a massive, untapped revenue potential of ₹5,496 crore sits directly within the Gram Panchayats.

He strictly warned that if individuals and businesses continue to dodge their local dues, the entire financial strength and economic backbone of the state will be permanently crippled.

The Deputy Chief Minister also focused heavily on the grassroot operational hurdles faced by village sanitation workers and “Green Ambassadors.”

He directly questioned officials on whether sanitation staff are facing persistent salary payment delays and explicitly demanded to know if their hard-earned wages are being provided on time.

Taking note of reports where certain village heads (Sarpanches) were allegedly withholding or delaying salaries, Pawan Kalyan warned of severe administrative shifts.

He stated that if local officials fail to fulfill their basic duties toward sanitation workers, the government will completely bypass them and transfer the authority directly to Panchayat Secretaries for hassle-free disbursement.

When it came to tax collection, the Minister sent a clear shockwave through the state’s elite corporate and educational circles.

“Whether they are prominent industrialists or massive educational institutions—it simply does not matter who they are,” Pawan Kalyan stated bluntly.

He ordered the department to completely ignore any form of political pressure or local influence and launch aggressive, transparent property re-assessments on all major defaulters.

He further warned that if these elite establishments refuse to clear their long-pending dues, the government will openly make their names public so the community knows exactly who is evading development.

The Deputy CM pointed out the blatant hypocrisy in the existing system, noting that while the government constantly forces ordinary citizens to pay minor penalties, local taxes, and challans, large corporate entities get a free pass.

By initiating this extensive audit and demanding strict compliance, Pawan Kalyan aims to clear the path for self-reliant villages.

His latest review serves as an ultimate warning that governance in AP has permanently changed, and no amount of political clout will save tax evaders from facing accountability.
