The Andhra Pradesh government has invited people to celebrate Sankranti 2026 in the Godavari districts. The state will host grand festivities to showcase Telugu traditions and rural culture.

A detailed schedule has been prepared to ensure locals and tourists enjoy the three-day festival in a traditional manner. Multiple cultural and recreational events have been planned across the region.

As part of Sankranti Celebrations 2026, the festivities will begin on January 10. The opening events will be held in Pithapuram, the constituency of Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan.

The annual Godavari Trophy will be a major attraction. It will take place in Atreyapuram between January 11 and 13, featuring dragon boat races, swimming, and other water contests.

Along with water sports, visitors can enjoy folk arts, rural games, cultural performances, and festive local cuisine. These activities are expected to draw large crowds from across the state and beyond.

The government has planned events across all Godavari districts to reflect the true spirit of Sankranti. Officials believe this will offer an authentic Telugu festive experience.

Tourists can also attend the Konaseema Utsav, scheduled at Kotipalli from January 13 to 15. The festival highlights regional culture and traditions.

Visitors may also take holy dips at Pattiseema, Bhadrachalam, and Rajamahendravaram during the festive period.
