
Two cases have been filed against KTR and two others regarding social media posts regarding SSC paper leak. The cases were filed in Nalgonda district over allegations of spreading fake and misleading news.
The cases were filed on Manne Krishank, social media in-charge BRS as A1, BRS working president and ex minister KTR as A2 and Dileep Konatham, former director of digital media as A3.

The issue began with Krishank posting on social media regarding Congress leaders’ involvement in SSC examination paper leak. His posts were reposted by KTR and Dileep amplifying the matter.
Krishank had alleged that 15 people were involved in paper leak though only six were arrested. He also said that a close aide of Congress leader was left out due to political pressure. Krishank also alleged that a private school in Nakrekal was behind paper leak scandal.

Nakrekal municipal chairperson Chougani Rajitha filed a police complaint that false news was being circulated against her on social media and by two media channels. She alleged that the false allegations affected her reputation.
Another case was filed by Uggadi Srinivas.

However, Krishank has raised objections and called the cases politically motivated. He said he never mentioned the name of Rajitha, that Congress actions were politically motivated.
He further said that he and his team collected pictures of the alleged with Congress leaders from Facebook, but the images were removed and accounts locked.
The issue of SSC exam paper leak created a storm in the state and allegations continue that the Congress is trying to shield the accused.
The situation has given rise to several questions regarding freedom of expression, political vendetta and responsibility of public and political figures in handling sensitive information.
Next, the accused will be called for questioning, including KTR, while BRS might challenge the FIRs.
