In a sudden structural realignment, the Telugu Desam Party has officially moved its highly anticipated annual conclave, Mahanadu 2026, to an entirely virtual format. The two-day session began today, broadcasting live directly from the party’s central headquarters in Mangalagiri.
The immediate decision to scrap the massive physical congregation, originally scheduled to take place in Nellore, was made following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s national appeal to conserve fuel supplies amid the ongoing West Asia conflict. Party leaders quickly restructured the massive event to bypass heavy transport logistics.
To replicate the festival-like atmosphere of traditional conventions, the administration has set up high-definition LED screens across 1,800 cluster locations statewide. Party President and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu kicked off the event this morning by hoisting the party flag and paying floral tributes to founder NT Rama Rao.
