The Telugu Desam Party is energized by all the post-poll surveys in Andhra Pradesh. Many electoral agencies have reported that the TDP-Jana Sena-BJP alliance is expected to achieve a huge victory in these elections.
Meanwhile, TDP has decided to postpone its annual party event, Mahanadu, which usually takes place on May 27 and 28. TDP organises Mahanadu every year, coinciding with the birth anniversary of the party’s founder, NT Rama Rao.
TDP chose to postpone the event because the election results will be announced on June 4. The party wants to focus on pre-result activities and preparing to form the government after the results are declared.
TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced the postponement of Mahanadu to his leaders earlier today through teleconference.
He stated that in every village, there will be tributes to NTR, party flags will be hoisted, and blood donation camps will be set up across the state. Naidu mentioned that the new dates for Mahanadu will be announced after the election results are declared.
On the other hand, Chandrababu Naidu took a serious stance on the attacks against TDP leaders following the polling. He urged TDP leaders to file complaints with the Election Commission regarding the violence directed at their party members.
