TG High Court Dismisses VANPIC Petition

Telangana High Court rejects VANPIC plea

The Telangana High Court has rejected the petition filed by VANPIC, which requested the removal of its name from the disproportionate assets case involving former Chief Minister and YSRCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Earlier, the CBI had included VANPIC‘s name in the chargesheet. The case is currently ongoing in the Nampally CBI Court. In July 2022, the High Court had initially admitted the petition filed by the VANPIC Project.

However, the CBI later approached the Supreme Court, arguing that its side was not properly heard. After hearing the CBI’s arguments, the Supreme Court directed the High Court to review the matter again.

Following the instructions, the Telangana High Court examined the petition and ultimately dismissed it. This decision supports the CBI’s claims and comes as a major setback to Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The CBI alleged irregularities in land allotment for the VANPIC port. It also claimed there were quid pro quo deals and that land was acquired under the name of VANPIC Project Private Limited.
