In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Hyderabad, a peculiar scenario has emerged where some candidates find themselves unable to cast their votes for their own parties due to jurisdictional constraints.
Asaduddin Owaisi, the incumbent Hyderabad MP and AIMIM leader, residing in Rajendranagar, falls under the Chevella constituency, where no AIMIM candidate is contesting.
Similarly, BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate, Madhavi Latha, residing in East Marredpally, Mahendra Hills, is listed in the Cantonment Assembly Voter List under Malkajgiri parliament jurisdiction.
Consequently, both Owaisi and Latha face the dilemma of not being able to vote for their own respective parties.
Beyond Owaisi and Latha, other candidates like Patnam Sunitha and Mohammed Sameer of Congress, along with BRS candidate Kasani Gynaneshwar, face similar predicaments, unable to vote for their own parties due to geographical disparities.
This election, Owaisi faces a new challenger: Madhavi Latha, known for her strong views. It’s an interesting contest, especially considering the history of AIMIM’s stronghold in the area.
