Why Jagan Is Missing From Mayasabha?

Why Jagan Mohan Reddy Is Missing in Mayasabha

Deva Katta’s Mayasabha has quickly turned into a hot topic in political circles and across social media. Blending fiction with historical elements, the series has sparked widespread discussion, with people dissecting scenes and drawing their own interpretations.

Among the notable observations is the presence of two scenes where Sharmila appears alongside YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Vijaya Lakshmi. What stands out is that, despite being the elder child, Jagan Mohan Reddy is nowhere to be seen, giving the impression that Sharmila is portrayed as the only child.

In one scene, Sharmila is asked what she wishes to become when she grows up, and she replies that she wants to be a Chief Minister. Interestingly, during YSR’s lifetime, Sharmila had shown no political interest and was rarely in the public eye. Her political presence only became noticeable after her differences with Jagan, which made her appear to have ambitions of her own.

The omission of Jagan has stirred multiple interpretations. Some suggest that Deva Katta is aligned with Chandrababu Naidu’s political stance and deliberately excluded Jagan to suit a particular agenda.

Others argue that the filmmaker aimed to present a pro-YSR narrative and intentionally left out Jagan to project an unbiased approach. This debate has only added to the intrigue surrounding Mayasabha and its depiction of political history.
