Cyber frauds in India are becoming increasingly sophisticated, targeting people’s emotional vulnerabilities for quick financial gains. What often begins as a harmless job offer slowly turns into a trap. Victims are left with financial loss and broken trust in digital platforms.
A shocking case has emerged from Nawada, exposing a disturbing scam. Fraudsters operated under the name “All India Pregnant Job Service.” They targeted childless women by promising Rs 10 lakh in exchange for getting them pregnant.
The scam also extended to fake sexual service offers under the label “Playboy Service.” People seeking such services were lured using false promises. These tactics helped the accused exploit desperation and curiosity alike.
Police arrested two accused, including a minor, in connection with the case. Authorities seized mobile phones, fake SIM cards, customer data, QR codes, and transaction records. The SIMs were reportedly registered in West Bengal and Gujarat.
Initial investigation revealed that the arrested individuals were not acting alone. A larger gang is suspected to be involved. Two key masterminds are believed to be directing the operations remotely.
The case highlights how cyber criminals manipulate emotions such as the desire for parenthood or momentary pleasure. By exploiting unregulated digital spaces, scammers manage to collect lakhs before disappearing. Smaller towns like Nawada remain especially vulnerable due to limited awareness.
Authorities now face the challenge of tightening vigilance. Verifying SIM issuance, monitoring suspicious apps, and educating the public about red flags are crucial. Victims also need safe channels to report crimes without fear or shame.
While the arrests mark a positive step, dismantling such networks requires strong inter-state coordination. Until stronger safeguards are in place, public skepticism remains the best defence. Online offers that sound unrealistic should always raise concern.
