
The self-proclaimed Indian Godman Dhirendra Shastri aka ‘Bageshwar Dham Sarkar’ has once again given a statement on the tragic Prayagraj Mahakumbh deaths, stirring controversy across the nation.
Speaking about the deaths, he claimed that those who have died at the shores of River Ganga have not actually died, but attained ‘moksha’, freeing them from the cycle of life and death.

His exact words were, “This is Mahaprayag. Everyone has to die one day. If someone dies on the banks of the Ganga, he doesn’t actually die; he attains moksha…
…Although their untimely passing is a cause for sadness, everyone has to go one day, be it me or you.”

His statements have brought forth a nationwide response.
Singer Neha Singh Rathore said, “If this is the way to attain moksha, why didn’t all the VIPs and ‘babas’ jump in the stampede themselves?”
