Royal Challengers Bengaluru booked their place in the Women’s Premier League 2026 final with an eight wicket win over UP Warriorz in Vadodara. RCB stayed in control throughout and wrapped up a comfortable victory.
Strong Start Sets the Tone
Chasing 144, RCB began aggressively. Grace Harris attacked from the first over, while captain Smriti Mandhana anchored the innings and rotated the strike well.
Power Play Dominance Hurts UP Warriorz
The opening pair made full use of the Power play and put UP Warriorz under pressure early. RCB raced to 63 runs in the first six overs and crossed 100 soon after.
Harris and Mandhana Seal the Chase
Harris scored a dominant 75 and did most of the damage. Mandhana remained unbeaten on 54 and calmly finished the chase. RCB reached the target in just 13.1 overs.
UP Warriorz Post a Modest Total
Earlier, UP Warriorz scored 143 for 8 after batting first. Captain Meg Lanning gave them a solid start, while Deepti Sharma top scored with a steady fifty.
Regular Wickets Slow the Innings
Despite the decent start, wickets fell at regular intervals. UP Warriorz struggled to accelerate towards the end, leaving them with a total that looked below par.
RCB Bowlers Keep Control
RCB’s bowlers maintained tight control throughout the innings. Nadine de Klerk starred with four wickets, while Harris also picked up two, completing a fine all round performance.
First Team into the Final
UP Warriorz bowlers failed to stop RCB’s aggressive start during the chase. With this win, RCB became the first team to qualify for the WPL 2026 final.
