Dulquer Salmaan’s I’m Game directed by Nahas Hidhayath, is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release tomorrow. With only a few hours left until the release, pre-bookings for the film are now happening in full swing.
In this scenario, according to reports, the Tamil version of the film, which was earlier scheduled for tomorrow, is now postponed to September 4th due to a delay in content delivery, meaning only the original Malayalam version is releasing in Tamil Nadu tomorrow.
Also, with only a few hours left for the first shows and premieres, the content of the original Malayalam version has reportedly not been received in many centers yet.
At the same time, I’m Game is not releasing in some districts like Salem in Tamil Nadu due to terms issues between theatre owners and distributors.
Following these release issues, many trade experts are suggesting that the makers of I’m Game are being very lethargic and wasting a potential blockbuster with poor release plans.
They also point to the poor pre-release bookings of I’m Game, suggesting that while bookings are already dull, these release issues will cause huge trouble for the makers and the production house. They hope these issues will be resolved smoothly and that the content will be delivered on time.
I’m Game was made on a massive budget of more than 70 crores; as a result, these last-minute release issues are putting the producers at huge risk. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether I’m Game will have a smooth release and satisfy audience expectations, leading the film to emerge as a successful venture upon its release tomorrow.
