In a chilling case that has gripped Everman, Texas, a grand jury has indicted Cindy Singh, the mother of a missing and presumed dead six-year-old disabled boy, Noel Rodriguez-Alvarez.
Noel was last seen alive in October 2022, and his mother is now facing a charge of capital murder, as well as two counts of injury to a child and one count of abandoning a child without intent to return.
In November 2022, Indian origin Cindy Rodriguez-Singh, along with her husband and six other children, abruptly fled to India, just days before authorities began investigating Noel’s disappearance.
The investigation has been marked by disturbing revelations, including allegations that Cindy told her grandmother she had sold Noel to another woman at a Fiesta Market.
Witnesses claim that Cindy referred to her son as “evil” and believed he had a demon in him, leading to abuse and neglect. Cadaver dogs also indicated human remains under a newly poured patio at their rented home, but no physical evidence was found.
Despite the lack of a body, the grand jury’s indictment signals a grim conclusion: Noel was murdered, possibly by his own mother. Law enforcement is now working to expedite Cindy’s extradition from India.
This tragic and disturbing tale of a missing child and a mother’s alleged involvement in his death has left the community in shock, searching for answers and justice for young Noel.
