Fir on Ajaz khan House Arrest on Ullu

Outrage has been triggered over Ullu App reality show House Arrest anchored by Ajaz Khan after going-viral clips were seen forcing participants to talk and act out intimate scenes on screen.

The show, involving Ullu’s adult show participants, has received widespread criticism for what is described as vulgarizing and resorting to obscenity, with some netizens and politicians questioning its content going out to family audiences and children.

Following a number of complaints, Mumbai Police filed an FIR against host Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey, and others against the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the IT Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

The FIR, filed by Bajrang Dal activist Gautam Ravriya, stated that the show had offended the modesty of women and promoted content that tends to cause outrage for public decency.

Political figures like Maharashtra BJP MLC Chitra Wagh have called for a ban at once, calling the show an “assault on values” and a threat to children.

The National Commission for Women has also served summons on Khan and the CEO of Ullu App, holding them accountable for promoting obscenity and disregarding consent.

After the public outcry, House Arrest was removed by Ullu App from their site, although the producer along with host haven’t yet published a public apology yet
