In the autumn, a documentary on Christopher Reeve’s life titled Super/Man will be released on theatres. The movie, which Warner Bros.
Discovery purchased for about $15 million, will premiere in a few theatres on September 21 and have an encore on September 25 in honour of Reeve’s birthday.
Fathom Events and DC Studios are working together on the theatrical release. Plans for the movie’s international release have not been disclosed, and it’s unknown if a more extensive, conventional theatrical release will take place at a later time.
The president of domestic distribution, Jeff Goldstein, acknowledged the honour of reintroducing audiences to Christopher Reeve and his legacy.
Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Events, is thrilled about a new movie that explores Christopher Reeve, the real superhero who created Superman. The movie, which was co-directed by Ian Bonhôte and Peter Ettedgui, is scheduled for distribution at Warner Bros., the studio where Reeve enjoyed the most financial success during his portrayal of Superman in the first four Superman films.
” The movie chronicles Reeve’s rise to fame as Superman and his quest for a treatment for spinal cord injuries, which left him quadriplegic following an accident while horseback riding. In order to present the tragic and inspirational story, the movie also makes use of personal archive footage.
