Bootha Siddhi Vivaha: Why Did Samantha Opt For It?

Newly wed couple Samantha and Raj Nidimoru married early Monday morning in a private ceremony with around 30 attendees. The marriage itself gained attention, but the ritual they chose is now the bigger topic of discussion.

Samantha and Raj opted for Bootha Siddhi vivaha at the Isha Yoga Center, Linga Bhairavi Temple. It is a Devi-oriented marriage process believed to offer emotional balance, well-being and auspiciousness. The ceremony includes chants, offerings and consecrated elements to align the couple with Devi’s energy.

The ritual allows couples to complete their wedding or renew vows either at the Linga Bhairavi temple or at a chosen location. The process involves the five elements and ancestral energies. Isha describes it as karmic-settling that clears ancestral influences and stabilises bonds between families.

Unlike traditional Hindu weddings where fire is central, Bootha Siddhi vivaha focuses on Devi and balances earth, fire, water, air and space. It is shorter, quieter and ritual-driven. It is a spiritual consecration, not a legal ceremony.

Samantha has followed Isha for a long time, so her wedding drew attention to Bootha Siddhi vivaha. The ritual has existed for generations in parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. At Isha, the ancestral and elemental layers stay intact within the Linga Bhairavi consecration framework.
