The Andhra Pradesh government is planning another DSC notification in February. This comes after the strong response received for the recently conducted mega DSC.
Officials indicate that preparations for the DSC programme are already underway. There is a high possibility that the notification will be issued by February, covering nearly 2500 teacher posts.
Several teachers are due to retire this year, and some vacancies already exist. The school education department is actively working to fill these positions to avoid disruption in the academic system.
During the current academic year, GO 117 was cancelled and nine new procedures were implemented. As part of these changes, 9200 primary schools were upgraded into model schools.
Each class in these schools has been assigned a dedicated teacher. Following transfers and adjustments, officials identified a requirement for 1146 additional teachers. Temporary inspectors have been appointed in these locations.
To fill these and other existing vacancies, the government is preparing for a second round of DSC. Current estimates suggest around 2000 vacancies, which may rise to 2500 after the final assessment.
This DSC is expected to introduce a new paper focusing on English and computer skills. Officials have requested approval from the government to include this combined paper in the examination.
Previously, exams were limited to subject-related papers only. The education department now plans to make basic English knowledge and computer skills mandatory for teacher recruitment.
Alongside this, the TET examination was recently conducted. Officials aim to release the results by January 9, earlier than the originally scheduled January 19 date.
As the exams concluded ahead of time, the provisional key has already been released. Authorities confirmed that the final key and results will be announced soon.
