BRS working president KTR spoke at the Trade Unions Round Table in Hyderabad and drew comparisons with the ongoing IndiGo crisis. He warned that when power stays with a few, everyday systems begin to break. The airport chaos is not random, according to him.
KTR said airlines ignored central government warnings about treating pilots fairly. No backup plans were created. No alternate packages were offered. This neglect, he said, pushed IndiGo into the crisis now facing passengers across the country.
He also claimed the Centre first issued guidelines through the DGCA to protect pilots. Later, the government withdrew them. According to KTR, airline power now lies with Tata and IndiGo. Pressure from big players forced a rollback, he said.
KTR added that when wealth piles up with a handful of companies, systems weaken. Business growth must come from quality and fairness, not control. He stressed that ease of doing business should support workers too, not just corporate balance sheets.
