Former minister KTR accused the Congress government of intentionally discrediting their governance, highlighting flaws and falsehoods in their recent white paper.
KTR criticized the document as a manipulation of numbers, filled with inconsistencies, and called it a juggling act. He presented a ‘Sweda Patra’ at Telangana Bhavan, detailing the state’s progress over the past nine and a half years.
KTR emphasized Telangana’s transformation from crisis to prosperity since its formation, dispelling claims that some leaders are taking undue credit for the state’s creation.
He clarified that the gross debt was Rs.3.17 lakh crore, not the exaggerated Rs.6.70 lakh crore. KTR highlighted discrepancies in depicting debts in various sectors, such as RTC, Electricity, and Civil Supplies.
KTR insisted that Telangana had not only established its existence but also created substantial assets during its governance.
Acknowledging criticism and welcoming a judicial inquiry into the Kaleswaram project, KTR defended the government’s achievements, emphasizing the increase in underground water and irrigation of 50 lakh acres. He urged the completion of ongoing projects and cautioned against tarnishing the state’s reputation.
KTR refuted claims of farmer suicides, stating that 99.9% of Rythu Bima beneficiaries experienced natural deaths. He called for the Congress government to fulfill promises within 100 days. He asked Congress to work on developing Telangana instead of doing revenge politics.
