YSRCP Rajampet sitting MP Mithun Reddy has emerged as the wealthiest re elected MP across parties. His sharp rise in assets has drawn attention across Andhra Pradesh and sparked political debate.
According to adrspeaks, Mithun Reddy declared assets worth Rs 22 crore in 2014. This rose to Rs 66 crore in 2019. By 2024, his declared wealth had surged to Rs 146 crore.
Overall, his assets increased by nearly 550 percent during his tenure as an MP. The steady rise over three elections has raised questions about the source of this rapid growth.
Mithun Reddy is also an accused in the Rs 3200 crore AP liquor case. He was arrested in July 2024 and later released on bail in September 2024. He is currently out on bail in the same case.
Political analysts remain divided on the issue. YSRCP supporters argue that he has income sources beyond politics. Critics claim the sudden spike in assets is linked to alleged liquor scam money.
The figures have renewed public interest in Andhra Pradesh. Many citizens are now closely watching developments related to Mithun Reddy and the liquor case investigation.
