Ivy Entertainment has moved the Delhi High Court against the producers of Prabhas’s Rajasaab. According to The Economic Times, the company invested about ₹218 crore for worldwide theatrical and non-theatrical rights, along with guaranteed returns and co-presenter credits.
The petition alleges that People Media Factory failed to meet key contractual terms. These include completing and releasing the film on time, giving monthly production updates, revealing fund utilisation, supplying agreed film materials, and avoiding repeated delays in the theatrical release.
Ivy is seeking a permanent injunction from the court. The company wants either a full refund of its ₹218 crore investment with 18 percent interest or control over the project to finish and release the film themselves.
The investor says taking over production is necessary to safeguard its investment. It claims the delays and lack of transparency have already caused financial risk and uncertainty for the project.
People Media Factory is expected to issue an official statement soon. The dispute has now put Rajasaab’s release in further doubt, with industry sources suggesting the film may not hit theatres until January 2026.
