Telangana municipal poll campaign rally

As the municipal polling date on February 11 approaches, major political parties have intensified campaigning across the state. Leaders from Congress, BRS, and BJP are actively touring districts to attract voters and strengthen local support.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has reportedly called for Congress to win all 123 urban local bodies. With senior leaders campaigning extensively, election activity in several districts has reached a high level of intensity.

While Revanth Reddy is leading Congress campaign efforts, the BJP has brought in its newly elected national president Nitin Nabin for election outreach. Political parties are organising meetings, public performances, and local events to mobilise voters.

Reports suggest campaign workers in some areas are being paid between Rs 200 and Rs 500 per day. Food arrangements, including biryani and chicken, are also reportedly being provided during campaign activities in certain locations.

In some cases, corner meetings are being organised with significant spending. Reports indicate amounts ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000 are being used for such gatherings in different areas.

There are also allegations of parties attempting to influence opposition workers through incentives. Liquor, food, and money are reportedly being used to persuade individuals to share information or shift political loyalties.

Some reports claim that individuals providing strategic information are being offered payments between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1 lakh. Political parties are also said to be encouraging candidate defections where winning chances appear strong.

With only a few days left for polling, political activity continues at a rapid pace. The final phase of campaigning is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the election outcome.
