Vijay Sai Reddy has spent years in power and public life, so silence does not seem natural to him. Right now, social media suggests a return attempt. Recent comments show that he does not see himself as politically retired.
At the same time, he has publicly stated that he is not joining any party immediately. Still, a scroll through his X timeline gives a different impression. His recent activity makes it look like a steady attempt to stay visible and relevant.
His latest post attacks religious conversions and warns against any assault on Hinduism. He also demanded a committee to probe conversions over the last two decades. That timing has raised eyebrows across political circles.
Another post paid tribute to Babasaheb Ambedkar on his death anniversary. He also commented on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India. In another tweet, he supported making the Sanchar Sathi App mandatory on all mobile phones.
That proposal, however, triggered strong public anger and the government pulled it back. He also wished BJP president JP Nadda on his birthday. On the same day, he promoted Narendra Modi’s call to push destination weddings within India.
Over just one month, these posts have pushed his profile closer to BJP messaging. Scan the full timeline and the pattern grows clearer. It no longer looks neutral. It looks politically tilted.
The bigger question is simple. Does the BJP need Vijay Sai Reddy. Right now, the answer looks negative for Andhra Pradesh. He does not bring vote strength or political reach.
He also does not offer strategic value the party actively seeks. BJP wants to counter Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy through political consolidation, not social media traction.
Welcoming him would also upset the TDP. The NDA depends on TDP numbers at the Centre. Picking a controversial figure without electoral weight makes little political sense.
So while Vijay Sai Reddy’s online signals look loud, the response from the BJP remains silent. At least for now, his messages look one sided. The door on the other side still appears closed.
