Temples are traditionally meant for peace, prayer, and reflection. But with the rising trend of content creation, the environment is being disrupted by cameras, selfies, and casual conversations.
Singing movie songs in front of a deity is seen by many as inappropriate. It shifts focus from devotion to performance, reducing sacred moments to viral clips.
The constant use of phones also disturbs other visitors. Sounds of notifications, recordings, and casual chatter interrupt the spiritual atmosphere.
Some temples have already banned mobile phones inside their premises. Lockers and signboards are used to enforce these rules and preserve the temple’s sanctity.
Though mobile phones can be useful in some ways like reading scriptures or making donations their misuse continues to raise concern.
