Online doorstep delivery of items has been a boon to us in many ways. It was especially helpful during covid times, and now we can’t stop ourselves from ordering food items, clothes, books, and even groceries. While buying items online is convenient, it doesn’t offer the freedom of going to the market and hand-picking items, especially groceries and perishable items.
Recently, a mother’s request led to a major change on the Blinkit website, which other users have come to love. When we visit the market to buy vegetables, we often take dhaniya (coriander) for free, but that’s not possible with online shopping.
A recent tweet by a user named Ankit somehow reached the CEO of Blinkit, Albinder Dhindsa. In the tweet, Ankit narrated an incident where his mother was shocked to see that one had to pay for dhaniya on Blinkit. He requested the company to provide dhaniya for free.
The tweet reached the CEO, who quickly responded by saying “Will do,” and soon they made changes on their website. A subsequent tweet announced, “Everyone please thank Ankit’s mom. We will polish the feature in a couple of weeks.”
This initiative was praised by many people on Twitter. Additionally, people started giving other interesting ideas to Blinkit. Let us know your thoughts on this.
