According to the police, one of the accused allegedly operated a social media account under the name Mahak Pari 143, through which explicit videos and objectionable audio clips were being posted.

These posts, reportedly laced with profanities, quickly gained traction and triggered public outrage.

Authorities noted that the shared material was not only indecent but also potentially harmful to the moral fabric of society. The nature of the posts raised concerns among parents and educators, as many young users also follow such accounts.

Local residents approached the police with evidence, prompting immediate action. The police took cognizance of the matter and began digital tracing of the account.

Preliminary findings suggest that the material was deliberately shared to gain attention and increase follower engagement through sensationalism.

The accused women are being investigated for violating sections related to obscenity and misuse of digital platforms. The Cyber Cell has also been roped in to examine the extent of the content shared and to determine if any wider network was involved.

Police officials have appealed to the public to report such content immediately and avoid sharing or engaging with it.

They reiterated that social media platforms must be used responsibly and that any attempt to misuse them will be met with strict legal consequences.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge after the forensic analysis of digital evidence.
