US Blogger’s Video on India: Shocking & Unexpected

US blogger filming at India Cyber Hub Gurgaon

An American social media travel blogger recently visited Cyber Hub in Gurgaon and posted a video comparing its infrastructure to Miami. He started by saying, “India is not all slums, overpopulated, and full of trash.” He then highlighted how the area has many American chain restaurants and is clean, unlike what many people think of India.

In the video, he also mentioned seeing beautiful Indian women at Cyber Hub, something he said he had not encountered during his whole month in India. He added, maybe he had just been visiting the wrong places earlier.

The video quickly went viral on social media. Many Indians appreciated that someone was showing a different, less represented side of the country. However, some users pointed out the harsher realities faced by most people in India.

According to them, the Cyber Hub represents only a small part of India where some people live comfortably. Most of the population still lives in slums or overcrowded areas with poor sanitation.

Many found it shocking that a country capable of building hubs like this still lets most people live in uninhabitable conditions. Some suggested the blogger visit places like Sikkim and other northeastern states to see more of India’s natural beauty.

This separation between a few modern cities and the rest of the country raises serious concerns. Only a handful of states have developed IT sectors and cyber hubs. Outside these pockets, India struggles with pollution and waste management.

While it is good to invite tourists to visit such places, it is important to remember India is not just these urban centres. For people to truly appreciate India’s beauty, better waste management and infrastructure are needed everywhere.

If one city can be transformed, why not the entire country? India cannot be defined only by its posh areas. As we try to emulate America’s lifestyle, we risk losing our own unique culture under piles of trash.

It is time to raise awareness about these urgent issues and work together to bring the changes we want to see.
