British Airways has opened new flagship lounges at Miami International Airport and Dubai International Airport. The launch marks the first step in the airline’s £7 billion transformation plan to redefine its premium travel experience.
Miami’s largest British Airways lounge
The new Miami lounge, located in Concourse E, covers 13,000 square feet, making it the airline’s biggest lounge outside London. Inspired by Miami’s Art Deco style, it features brass accents, reeded glass, and sweeping views of the airfield.
Inside, five unique zones serve different needs dining, working, and relaxing. A luxury bar and an exclusive Concorde Dining Room for First Class passengers offer British dishes with Miami-inspired flavours, reflecting the airline’s focus on local culture.
Dubai lounge combines British and Middle Eastern design
At Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 1, the 5,800-square-foot lounge has been redesigned to blend British elegance with Middle Eastern touches. The space features metal fretwork, mirrored walls, and sweeping arches.
Passengers can enjoy a full-service bar, self-serve dining with regional ingredients, and a dedicated Concorde section for premium guests. The design collaboration involved global architecture firm Gensler and UAE-based contractor Al Tayer Stocks.
New global lounge identity
These openings debut British Airways’ “Global Lounge Concept,” which replaces older designs with a consistent, modern identity across international hubs. The new model focuses on comfort, visual storytelling, and tailored service for premium travellers.
Setting a new benchmark
Access is available to British Airways’ First and Business Class passengers, Oneworld elites, and Executive Club members. The new lounges in Miami and Dubai have received strong praise from frequent flyers and analysts, positioning the airline as a leader in luxury air travel.
