The consular unit in Chennai assured them that the “Refused” status simply indicated administrative processing, but with no document requests, no 221G notice, and a complete lack of transparency, the case remains a mystery.

Working for a California-based IoT startup with a clean record and a top-tier U.S. master’s degree, the engineer is left wondering whether this is a security audit or just an inexplicable delay.

Each day feels like an endless wait with no timeline, no next steps, and no explanations. It’s not just about a visa; it’s about life plans on hold, stalled career growth, and the emotional strain of being caught in an unpredictable situation.
