In the 1970s Naples’ Forcella neighborhood, there was this kid, Enrico Frattasio, who had dreams of becoming a DJ. He worked as a cleaner at a record store but also made mixtapes for his buddies on the side, and they became a hit. Then, he got this brilliant but slightly misguided idea of mass-producing album copies.
“Mixed by Erry” is the story about the dramatic rise and fall of three Naples brothers who launched a pirate mixtape empire, bringing pop music to 1980s Italian youth.
