The action-packed flick “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff is hitting theaters today.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, the movie also features Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F in significant roles, with Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the villain.
Early reviews from the USA are pouring in and they aren’t too encouraging.
Despite aiming for a blend of Desi Bad Boys and Hobbs & Shaw, Zafar’s execution falls short. However, fans can enjoy the chemistry between Akshay and Tiger, sprinkled with humor and some thrilling stunts. Prithviraj shines as the villain, but the lackluster writing and narration drag down the overall experience.
The first half manages to hold attention with a decent plot twist, but the second half loses steam, offering nothing particularly exciting. The storyline follows a tired trope of betrayal and revenge within the Indian forces, lacking originality.
While the camaraderie between Akshay and Tiger, along with some action sequences and Prithviraj’s performance, keep the film afloat, the predictable screenplay and lack of emotional depth make it feel repetitive.
In the end, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” is a passable but mostly forgettable watch.
