When the news broke that NTR would be joining forces with Hrithik in Yash Raj Films’ WAR 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, social media erupted in excitement. NTR fans were elated at the prospect of their hero making his Bollywood debut in such a high-profile SPY Universe film, potentially reaching even the B and C centers in the North.
However, the enthusiasm took a hit after the disappointing response to the latest spy franchise installment, Tiger 3, echoed from audiences nationwide. NTR fans, now apprehensive, flooded social media, urging their star to reconsider his involvement in WAR 2.
Tiger 3’s performance proved to be a massive letdown. Director Maneesh Sharma and Writer/Producer Aditya Chopra failed to deliver a film with a compelling story, falling short of even the bare minimum audience expectations. While Pathaan also lacked a groundbreaking plot, the director skillfully infused it with entertainment, patriotism, and masala elements, ensuring an enjoyable cinematic experience.
Tiger 3, unfortunately, suffered from a lackluster narrative. Audiences may forgive flaws like subpar VFX, mediocre performances, and even unbelievable plotlines, but a boring film is unforgivable, and Tiger 3 was boring.
NTR fans can breathe a sigh of relief, though; there’s no need to panic just yet. The incompetence of Tiger 3’s director shouldn’t be a reflection on WAR 2. Ayan Mukerji, a competent director with a grand vision, is at the helm, ready to execute a blockbuster of WAR 2’s scale.
In the post-credit scene of Tiger 3, NTR’s character in WAR 2 receives unprecedented elevations, depicted as the most sinister, mysterious, and evil character ever.
With Hrithik Roshan, NTR, Kiara Advani, a talented technical crew, and Ayan Mukerji leading the charge, the chances of WAR 2 following in Tiger 3’s footsteps seem very less. Anticipation is high for a gripping cinematic experience that will undoubtedly set a new benchmark in the SPY Universe.
