Box office success doesn’t always translate to audience satisfaction and Sikandar is a recent example of that.

Despite the big numbers and the much-hyped pairing of Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, the film left many viewers disappointed and asking questions about the choices actors make in their careers.
Rashmika’s honest response to the criticism is good but it also highlights a common problem in the industry: talented actors taking up roles that have no depth or purpose, maybe for the sake of working with a superstar or for a fat paycheck.

In Sikandar, Rashmika’s character is poorly written—she dies within the first 30 minutes and then appears as a ghost only to Salman Khan.
Her death scene is confusing and has no emotional impact, leaving the audience wondering about her character’s fate and its relevance to the story.

While Rashmika is open to feedback and growth, actors should be choosy about the scripts they take up. Accepting roles that don’t challenge them or serve the story well can dilute their credibility and disappoint their fans.
Hope Rashmika and others will prioritize meaningful roles over starry collaborations in the future.
