Usually directors and actors not prefer to take legal route against produce producers with regard to unpaid remunerations. They tend to avoid any complications and prefer to settle the disputes amicably.
But the case of talented Tamil film maker Sudha Kongara is different. She approached the Madras High Court in connection with the remuneration case that she had filed against her producers of Parashakti film, saying they didn’t clear her dues even after the release of the film.
She requested the court to half the release of the next release of Dawn Pictures which happens to be Idhayam Murali. This is an attempt to pressurise the producer into clearing her dues before releasing the film.
However, the Madras High Court has rejected the petition that was filed by the female director and refused to haul the release of this film.
There is no interim relief for Sudha Kongara in Paraskthi fee dispute as Madras High Court refuses to halt the release of Dawn Pictures Idhayam Murali over her ₹8.39 crore fee claim over Parasakthi.
This Idhayam Murali film is supposed to release in theatres today July 10, and it will go ahead as planned as the court has refused to pass an order against the release. This would mean that the female Director will have to wait for a bit more time to get a legal remedy for her situation.
