When a film journalist positively remarked that there is talk on social media about him being a Tier 1 star, Nani visibly expressed discomfort without hiding his feelings.
“I don’t know who started this and why they started this Tier 1 stuff. Don’t drag me into this,” Nani said.

Vijay Deverakonda was a strong contender to elevate his stardom to Tier 1 with Liger, but that one opportunity cost him dearly, followed by another disaster. On the other hand, Nani, by consistently delivering films—even if they are somewhat average or above average—is further cementing his position in the Tier 2 club and growing his reputation among audiences.
