Will Smith has recently been named in a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. The complaint has been filed by tour violinist Brian King Joseph, who worked with Smith during his 2025 concert tour.
According to the lawsuit, Brian King Joseph was first hired in November 2024 for a performance in San Diego. He was later invited to join Smith’s Based on a True Story 2025 concert tour and also contribute to the artist’s upcoming album.
The lawsuit alleges that during this period, Smith made repeated remarks suggesting a personal and emotional connection. Joseph claims he found these comments inappropriate and uncomfortable while working on the tour.
The case centres on an alleged incident in March 2025 during the tour’s first leg in Las Vegas. Joseph claims his hotel room key went missing for several hours and was later returned by hotel management.
That same night, he alleges discovering signs that someone had entered his room without permission. According to the complaint, several personal items were left behind along with a handwritten note that he interpreted as a sexual advance.
Joseph states that he reported the matter to hotel security, Smith’s representatives, and local authorities. However, the lawsuit claims he was later accused of lying about the incident.
Shortly after raising the complaint, Joseph alleges he was terminated from the tour. He claims the incident caused emotional trauma, post traumatic stress disorder, and financial loss.
Joseph is seeking damages to be determined by a jury. Will Smith has not issued any public response to the allegations so far.
