The alliance government in power in AP is working for the development of all regions in the State.
Just the other day, they started Rs 83,500 crore ExxonMobil petrochemical project in Srikakulam. Today, they conducted a workshop on Quantum Valley in Vijayawada. Next, they are going to start the steel plant in Kadapa.
American company ExxonMobil is planning to set up its plant in Moolapeta in Santabommali mandal in Srikakulam district. The idea is to start a polyethylene plant which will be a greenfield project in 1250 acres of land with Rs 83,500 crore.
After considering Ramayapatnam, Kakinada and Machilipatnam ports, the team zeroed down on Moolapeta due to its connectivity by road and rail. The port was also found to be feasible for cargo shipping. An environment-friendly water treatment plant would be set up and they will produce polyethylene in first phase and polypropylene in the second phase.
AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has announced that the work on Quantum Valley will start in January, 2026. He said that lakhs of people will get employment at the Tech Valley in Amaravati. Chandrababu shared that other states will also be able to use the services here. He said since everything will be tied up with IT in future, there was a need to catch up on quantum computing. Chandrababu said on Monday that Quantum Valley was being planned taking Silicon Valley as inspiration.
Meanwhile, the work on Kadapa steel plant has begun. Jindal Steel which will be building the plant sent its team to Sunnapurallapalle in Jammalamadugu district in Kadapa.
The plant will be set up in 3591 acres with an investment of Rs 9000 crores. The plant with 30 lakh tonnes capacity will be built in two phases by Jindal Group’s JSW firm, starting in July.
In all, the state of Andhra Pradesh is seeing heavy investments in all regions, be it technology or manufacturing, thanks to the double engine government.
