The political landscape in Andhra Pradesh has undergone a significant transformation, with TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu breaking from tradition and announcing 95 candidates in one go, well ahead of the election schedule. This move is seen as a departure from Naidu’s usual practice of delaying candidate announcements until the last minute.

The initial response to the TDP candidate list has been positive, with many observers suggesting that TDP has a strong chance of forming the government with the announced candidates.

The list includes several new faces, and Naidu reportedly finalized the candidates after careful screening and consultations with various sections of the electorate.

One notable candidate is Kolikipudi Srinivas, who will be contesting from the Tiruvur segment. Srinivas gained prominence as a vocal advocate for Amaravathi farmers protesting against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s decision to have three capitals.

Another interesting inclusion is Saripella Rajesh Kumar, also known as Mahasena Rajesh, who will be contesting from P. Gannavaram under the Amalapuram Parliament segment. Rajesh, who had created satirical videos against CBN’s government five years ago, is now a TDP nominee.

Bandaru Sravani, a 29-year-old candidate, has been chosen to represent TDP in Singanamala. Known for her activism against the YS Jagan government, Sravani is a fresh face in politics. Similarly, Songa Roshan Kumar, a young leader under 30, has been named the TDP candidate for Chintalapudi, sidelining former minister Peethala Sujatha.

These choices reflect a mix of experienced leaders and fresh faces, suggesting TDP’s strategy to appeal to a broad spectrum of voters in the upcoming elections.

As per the initial response in the state, TDP will form the government with the announced candidates with 95 seats.

Many new faces appear in the TDP list. CBN has finalized after screening the candidates and taking the opinions from different sections of the people in the segment.
