Police in Ujjain have arrested a gang of fake monks who were looting travellers on highways. The group dressed up as Naga sadhus and pretended to bless people to stop their vehicles. Once travellers halted, they stole gold, silver, and cash.
Acting swiftly, police caught seven gang members within thirty minutes of the robbery. The incident has shocked people, as faith and spirituality hold deep meaning in India, where saints and sadhus are often trusted without question.
These frauds exploited that trust, using religion as a disguise to commit crimes. Their actions not only cheated innocent people but also disrespected genuine faith and spirituality.
A true saint never demands money or gifts. He works for others with honesty and compassion. It’s vital for you to stay aware, follow your faith carefully, and recognise the difference between real and fake sadhus.
Stay alert and protect your faith from such scams. Awareness and caution are your best shields against those who misuse religion for personal gain.
