Nani Hit 3rd Case OTT

Nani’s HIT: The Third Case has almost wrapped up its theatrical run with a decent box office performance.

Released on May 1, 2025, the film opened strong over the weekend but saw a dip in collections during the weekdays. Still, the initial momentum helped it land in the commercial safe zone.

Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, this crime thriller is the third installment in the HIT franchise. Nani plays Arjun Sarkaar—a disciplined, brooding cop with a violent streak and a mysterious past. The story follows his investigation in Arunachal Pradesh, where he uncovers a dark web syndicate named CTK.

As the film exits theatres, attention is now shifting to its OTT release. Industry sources suggest that HIT 3 will start streaming on Netflix from June 5, 2025.

Though an official announcement is pending, reports say Netflix secured the digital rights in advance. The film will likely be available in multiple Indian languages to reach a wider audience.

While HIT 3 fared well in cinemas, critics feel several plot loopholes were overlooked by the theatrical crowd. With OTT audiences known for being more analytical, the film may face fresh scrutiny online.

The cast includes Srinidhi Shetty, marking her Telugu debut, alongside Rao Ramesh, Samuthirakani, Surya Srinivas, and Prateik Babbar.

Produced by Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions, the film combines action, suspense, and emotion, enhanced by Santhana Krishnan’s visuals.

However, Mickey J. Meyer’s score received a lot of backlash for not being effective enough. We have to see how it is received by the OTT audience.

Though HIT 3 adds another win to Nani’s filmography, it once again underlines the limits of his box office draw.

Despite positive reception, the film touched the 100-crore global milestone, according to producers, but couldn’t go much beyond that just like Nani’s last few films.
