Mrunal Thakur, the actress who charmed as Sita Mahalaxmi in Sita Ramam, recently opened up about her humble beginnings and deep influence of family. In conversation with Cosmos India, Mrunal reminisced from her childhood growing up in an extended family setup where budget remained a reality check every single day.
She dropped a thought-provoking piece of trivia: “If there was a big feast at home and friends came by unexpectedly, it would play havoc with our budget.”. My grandmother would have to have rice or roti and just chicken curry, as there would not be any pieces remaining.”
This early education about sacrifice and frugality instilled in her an idea about hard work and gratitude. Mrunal credits her family’s unwavering support and her intimate relationship with her parents and siblings as the cornerstones of her resilience and motivation.
Witnessing her parents’ sacrifices, she promised as a child to someday give them the best life they could possibly have. She also took note of the shifting patterns of parenting in her household, seeing how her parents learned and adapted with each child, especially with a twelve-year space between her and the youngest child.
These humble beginnings, according to Mrunal, keep her grounded and grounded, pushing her from a middle-class background to stardom.
