Nani HIT 3 Hindi Box Office

Nani’s HIT 3 has opened to a stunning global collection at the box office. That debut was impressive—despite the film being an ‘A’ certified, dark and violent thriller.

Trade analysts say it raked in around ₹35-36 crores worldwide on day one. That’s a solid start for any film, especially an action-thriller in the Telugu language.

But the Hindi version of HIT 3 has been a different story altogether. It’s turned out to be a major letdown. The pan-India release strategy that has worked so well for some South Indian films just doesn’t seem to be working for this one.

HIT 3 is the latest example of a film that struggled to connect with Hindi-speaking audiences. Despite the hype, the buzz around the film was minimal. That highlights just how important it is to evaluate a movie’s broader appeal before aiming for a national release.

You wouldn’t be surprised to hear that HIT: The First Case was barely known among Hindi audiences until it was remade—and even that version didn’t do well. HIT: The Second Case also failed to leave a mark. So expectations for The Third Case were already pretty low.

The film is up against stiff competition from big Bollywood titles like Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2. Both of those are doing strong business. And then there’s the issue of HIT 3 being absent from major Hindi multiplex chains like PVR, INOX and Cinepolis.

That four-week exclusive OTT agreement meant HIT 3 couldn’t get a wide Hindi release in those cinemas. That limits its reach across the country. As the film has made headlines regionally and globally, the question now is whether it will show any growth in the Hindi market or not.
