Tamil music composer Anirudh Ravichander is the talk of the town currently, especially after his rousing background score and music for Rajinikanth’s latest hit Jailer. If not for Anirudh’s thumping musical score, Jailer would not have become the box office beast it has become today.
If something worked in Jailer’s favor right from the beginning, then it was Anirudh’s Kaavaalayya and Hukum songs. His performance at the pre-release event also garnered enough hype about the film.
He has become a brand among the movie-going audience, especially the youth, and there is a section of people who come to watch movies just to experience his work on the big screen. In Jailer, also he doesn’t disappoint and elevates even not-so-great scenes to the next level with his BGM.
Inside reports suggest that Anirudh is in demanding a very high remuneration to compose for his projects. The producers also are not hesitating to pay him insane remuneration because he is justifying it with quality work and adding huge value to the projects he is associated with.
But there is a complaint that Anirudh delivers mediocre music when it comes to Telugu films. He doesn’t deliver the same quality as he does in Tamil movies. His score in Agnyaathavaasi and Gang Leader was not up-to-the-mark. Jersey was good, but nothing on the level f work he has been doing in Tamil.
Anirudh is now scoring music for NTR’s Devara. There are sky-high expectations from his music this time. Hope he doesn’t turn out to be another AR Rahman and delivers a rabble-rousing score for Devara and proves himself in Telugu, also.
